Bringing you back in time to the years 1955 and 1985, Back To The Future was a certified popular science fiction movie when it was was released in cinemas. The film, Despite being future-looking during its release, was easily able to merge the clashing then-present and then-past conditions yet still maintaining its sci-fi concept and incorporating features of the then-possible-future.
The timeless story enabled the originators, Bob Gale and Robert Zemeckis, to not only build on the '85 motion picture and make two more sequels, but also appreciably widen the reach of this classic story to another type of fan base – contemporary theater viewers. The suggestion for a live version was hinted at to Robert in '05, and after long preparation, Bob Gale and Robert Zemeckis were finally ready to release Back To The Future The Musical fifteen years later.
As one of the most technology-reliant new plays in current long list of musicals, the play had the freedom to implement modifications that would appeal to its younger audience and also take advantage of the current technology, that during the production period of the 1985 movie was unlikely. With the musical adaptation, it doubles down on action and is also heavily emotional because of Back To The Future appearing more upbeat since everything happens in real time.
