Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse Live In Concert at Hollywood Pantages Theatre

It was announced in 2018 that “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” would feature Emmy Award-winning composer Daniel Pemberton. In the following months, the full album for “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” was released on the same day the movie was released. Included in the album are some of today’s biggest hip-hop hits, “What’s Up Danger,” “Sunflower,” and “Scared of the Dark.” It was mentioned that the composition of the album was done to represent what a teenage Miles Morales/Spider-Man would actually be listening to hence, the hip-hop.

Needless to say, the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse soundtrack was a success. Some of the biggest artists in hip-hop were featured in the film, including Jaden Smith, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Post Malone, Amine, Ty Dolla $ign, the late Juice WRLD, Swae Lee, Coi Leray, Ski Mask the Slump God, Vince Staples, Thutmose, and the late XXXTentacion. The album went on to top the charts upon its release, including US Billboard Top Soundtracks and US Top R&B and Hip-hop Albums.

The film’s composer, award-winning Daniel Pemberton, said, “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is one of my favorite scores I’ve ever written. Utilizing a full orchestra, crazy electronics, and unbelievable turntable scratching techniques, amongst a million other things, is so technically complex, I never thought we’d ever be able to actually reproduce it in a live setting, but somehow, we have. I am ridiculously excited for fans around the country to see their very first Spider-Verse concert later this year.”
